The first work I worked on for a drama soundtrack was the NHK evening drama "Kirei no Kuni." I think it's a soundtrack that has a free atmosphere that isn't bound by genre, from ambient to band sounds and Phil-like ensembles. In fact, it was around the same time that I was working on the album "unpeople," so there are some similarities in the sounds of the instruments. The original score for the NHK drama "Kirei no Kuni" is now available in an LP edition! Featuring members of the Shuta Hasunuma Philharmonic Orchestra, this is a superb musical experience featuring a wide range of music, from electronic sounds to live ensembles!

The original drama series "Kirei no Kuni" (Kirei no Kuni) (April-May 2021) was written by playwright Takuya Kato and starred Yo Yoshida, Misako Renbutsu, Tetsu Hirahara, Karin Ono, Jun Hashimoto, Rosa Kato, and Goro Inagaki, and became a hot topic. The original score, which was released on CD and digital formats in June of the same year, is now available in an LP edition with music selected by Hasunuma himself and analog mastering by Soichiro Nakamura of Peace Music.

This album features a wide variety of songs, including pieces by the Hasunuma Shuta Philharmonic Orchestra, featuring Ishizuka Shuta, Ito Ken, Otani Yoshio, Ojima Yu, Kasai Toshihiko, K-Ta, Kobayashi Utena, Gondo Tomohiko, Saito Ryosuke, Chiba Hiroki, Teshima Eriko, Miura Chiaki, and Miyaji Natsumi, as well as the participation of U-zhaan (tabla) and Otonashi Fumiaki (sho).

This track, composed entirely of electronic sounds that hasn't been released in recent years, is a masterpiece that gives us a glimpse of Hasunuma's latest musicality! The artwork, which was meticulously designed down to the smallest detail by Honda Chihiro, who also worked on the CD artwork, is also a wonderful finish.

The clear wind of Ihatov, the blue sky that is cold even in summer, the city of Morio decorated with beautiful forests, and the glittering waves of grass in the suburbs.

And as I think about the many people who were with me there, Faselo and Rosaro, the shepherd Milo, the red-faced children, the landowner Teemo, and Professor Bogant Destupago, all of them seem like a nostalgic blue magic lantern from long ago, as I sit here in this dark, huge stone building.So, I will quietly write down the period from May to October in Ihatov that year, adding a few small notes from the past.

This song was born from a collaboration between the album "unpeople" and the J-WAVE program "GOOD NEIGHBORS." The music video was created by collecting photos of windows with no people in them and the scenery seen through them.
