Shuta Hasunuma: unpeople (Special Edition LP Box)

Shuta Hasunuma's new album "Special Edition unpeople LP Box". A limited edition of 200 pieces. It was released in advance at POST, the venue for the "unpeople" exhibition.

The box, designed and supervised by Tanaka Seri, centers around Shuta Hasunuma's two-disc clear vinyl, and is wrapped in an original box entirely in the album's main color, red.

The theme of this work is based on "human presence, the passage of time, and windows." The cloth, called a "portable window," features a large print of a photo of a window, which was used in "unpeople's" first project, the digital single "Weather." It is also displayed like a noren (traditional Japanese curtain) at the entrance to POST, and can be carried around to create a window anywhere, as it can be used as a curtain, wall hanging, or picnic sheet.

In his "unpeople" project, Ikeya Riku captured "human presence, the passage of time, and windows." The photographs taken specifically for the artwork of this work are bound together across 80 pages, and the cover photo is a random selection of three prints by Ikeya himself.

The book includes liner notes of approximately 15,000 characters in the form of a dialogue between HEADZ directors Atsushi Sasaki and Shuta Hasunuma. The composition was handled by Susumu Kunizaki, making for a compelling read. Additionally, the book contains a box of fallen leaves that evoke the passage of time and a sense of place. These are leaves that the artists encountered and picked up at the shooting locations. The dried leaves, which vary in size and shape and are of different types, contain memories and time of the place.

Derived from the concept of the album "unpeople," this is a musical work that allows one to experience human perception from various angles, including listening, seeing, touching, and feeling, and can be said to be a work that was literally created in multiple ways.
