Micro Ambient Music Festival
The Micro Ambient Music Festival, an indoor ambient music festival featuring 27 acts and allowing you to experience their performances in three different environments, will be held over three days from the 23rd (Friday, national holiday) to the 25th (Sunday) at the NTT InterCommunication Center [ICC] in Hatsudai, Tokyo.
The concert originated from the memorial compilation album " Micro Ambient Music, " compiled by Tomoyoshi Date following the death of Ryuichi Sakamoto last year and selected for the "Electronic and Experimental" category at the German Record Critics Awards that same year, and is being held as a related event to the ICC's special exhibition "Ryuichi Sakamoto Tribute Exhibition: Music/Art/Media."
The venue will be divided into three spaces: "Venue 1" which focuses on acoustics; "Venue 2" where sound will be heard from a bed via 16-channel speakers; and "Venue 3" where sound will be amplified using cutting-edge technology and performed in a band format. The first venue will feature Tetsuji Akiyama, Shuta Hasunuma, Chihei Hatakeyama, Yoko Ikeda, Takashi Ishikawa, Makoto Oshiro, Minoru Sato, Suzueri, and Yumiko Tanaka. "Venue 2" will feature Christophe Charles, Christopher Willits, Ken Ikeda, Takashi Kokubo, Toshimaru Nakamura, Tomotane Nakamura, Yui Onodera, Sawako, and Sugai Ken. "Venue 3" will feature Shohei Amimori, ASUNA, Chappo, The Factors, filament (Sachiko M + Yoshihide Otomo), HAM, ILLUHA, Mami Kakudo + Yumiko Iwao + Gensuke Kanki, and Opitope + Tatsuhisa Yamamoto. Makoto Oshiro will be in charge of the PA at the second venue, and zAk will be in charge of the PA at the third venue.
