II (Neo-Japonism Original Sound Track)

Shuta Hasunuma 's second NHK Works album, "II (Neo-Japonism Original Soundtrack)," was released digitally on September 17, 2025.
This album contains a total of six songs, including the sound logo that has been played on various NHK music programs and the official NHK MUSIC YouTube channel from 2023 to the present, and a song written specifically for the "New Japonism" series, a special program currently being broadcast to commemorate 100 years since the start of NHK broadcasting.
"Dwell," featuring an ensemble by Shuta Hasunuma Philharmonic Orchestra, expresses a contemporary Japanese scene, while "Odyssey," with its striking, light-hearted melody, was recorded at NHK Studios for "New Japonism." Other newly recorded tracks include "Naz," a track with a world travel concept where the tone changes with each beat, and "Surface," which evokes the deep sea with the overlapping quiet piano tones and electronic sounds of a modular synthesizer. Mastering was handled by Dave Cooley. The jacket artwork was created by designer Akinobu Maeda.
