alternative train produced by Takashi Homma

I will be participating in a group show produced by photographer Takashi Homma.
We went to the locations where Homma was filmed and created the ambient sounds of the locations together with sound engineer Nishikawa Bunsho.
I created a 30-minute looped, 6-channel sound piece called "Sound in Obscura."
This is a sound installation that accompanies Takashi Homma's photographic works.

Located within Keihan Railway's Naniwabashi Station, Art Area B1 has been hosting the Railway Art Festival, a program that focuses on the creativity of railways, since 2010. This year, Vol. 5, will feature exhibitions and related projects with the theme of "Landscapes, Scenery, Vision, and Perspective."
It has been a long time since we have been called the century of images, and people are now able to see various landscapes from all over the world from a variety of perspectives. However, it can also be said that the way we see and perceive things in the modern world is constantly influenced by advanced technology and the vast amount of visual information we are bombarded with.
The Railway Art Festival will host "Another Train ~ Alternative Train ~," produced by Takashi Homma, a photographer active in various fields who focuses on the act of seeing itself. This exhibition will reexamine stations and trains from a variety of perspectives that go beyond simply being a means of transportation, and will examine with a new sensibility the landscapes and everyday urban life that we usually pass by and overlook. The exhibition venue will feature works that pay homage to railways and video, works produced by several guest artists in residence, and video works from overseas, and numerous related projects will be held at various locations along the railway line during the event. It is our hope that this exhibition will provide an opportunity for various discoveries and realizations, and will broaden new and diverse third perspectives.
